The People Perch at Caribbean Villas (shown at left, for view looking down-see below) is unique in San Pedro Town. It is an observation tower built three stories high to rise above the surrounding jungle. From its platform you can enjoy the rich variety of birds that live and visit this tropic isle. Wil and Susan Lala fell in love with Ambergris Caye and its birds. They designed and built Caribbean Villas very much with the birds in mind. The hotel is surrounded by native shrubs and trees and half of the grounds have been left as litoral forest which they made into a bird sanctuary.
